Half-day classes begin from the very basics. The
teaching is fast-paced, and in the first level, the
pronunciation system and phonetic alphabet are covered
within the first three to five hours of the class.
Beginning students are advised to preview the material
before attending the class. The overall half-day
program is designed for people who wish to learn a great
amount of Japanese in a short time. Each level includes
instruction in grammar, listening comprehension, and
conversation. The way the conversations, sentence
patterns, and short writing passages are combined helps
the students acquire the language in a natural manner.
In addition to the language, understanding of Japanese
culture is also emphasized. Participation in
situational role-playing helps students learn
everyday Japanese usage. Students who have successfully
completed the four half-day levels are sufficiently
prepared to register for the official Level Two Japanese
Proficiency Exam. |

Japanese part-time classes start from the basic level.
The material is covered quickly. In the first level,
the phonetic alphabet and pronunciation are covered
within the first 3 to 5 hours of class. Beginning
students are advised to preview the material before
attending the class. In all levels, the students are
asked to work with teachers and their classmates to
develop an interactive learning environment. Through
the use of audio recordings, the classes help the
students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and
writing skills. The courses follow a step-by-step
progression to teach the students everyday conversation,
basic business usage, and contemporary Japanese
culture. In addition to learning how to use Japanese to
express their own opinions, students also develop
the ability to draw comparisons between Japanese and
Chinese culture. |
